Major events!

Time to update everyone with photos of some major events happened last sem!

We, together with DanzDemons of KE7, performed at AY0708 IHG closing ceremony at SRC. It was a wushu-and-dance-combined item. One part of the sword dance was later developed into a complete dance item which was performed at Dance Uncencored (yes, we KE wushu and dance are one big family =P)

All performers are in both Dance and Wushu! haha. Happy faces at SRC after the closing ceremony: (from left, back) Shan Yu, Yen-ling, Kan Foong, Huey Shin, Ye Dan, Wan Ling; Sen Foong is in front. Sharon and Jeremy missing from this photo... hmm... wonder what they were doing... XD

Just alighted from A2 bus, at PGP foyer! Sharon made her appearance!

... and then we had a great supper with drinks, ice creams, videos and DDR in lounge!!!

Our Sem2 training officially ended in April, two weeks before reading week for the exams. Photos with Zhuang Laoshi (back, rightmost. handsome right?) taken at the end of last training...

Does everyone still remember one of our vice-captains, Mr. Wang Junzhe (or more affectionally known as Colin)? He left Singapore for a 2-year-studies in France in early May. We had a farewell outing for him, many of us went, including seniors like YuanYan. We went Vivocity for the movie "Forbidden Kingdom 功夫之王"!

Yeah! Really hope Colin left with the sweetest memory of KE7 wushu and all the best for his future endeavours!

first of all... we have a new coach!

i believe everyone misses Guo Laoshi and Cai Laoshi. but they are just too busy for this semester, guess they are involved in some national team thingy. so they recommended Zhuang Laoshi, who indeed proved himself to be a great instructor through the 1st session on Sunday!

Li Hao, have u recovered from the stretching aided by Zhuang Laoshi? LOL

so we will continue our systematic trainings, and continue to make progress everyday~

at the same time, dun forget the upcoming performances:
1. External Culture Performance, 17 Feb
2. IHG Closing Ceremony, 22 Feb

try your best to participate these events ok? not only for CCA points (which will of course be given, like wat we announced at the beginning of last semester), it's also for you to really learn wushu and to gain stage experience.
and if most of u participate, we can take nice nice group photos after the events!! hahahahaha

sorry i still havn't get hold of the ICN and IVP pictures... but still, hope you all have enjoyed the video session (and food) last last week!! =) haha

day before yesterday was the last training with our coaches this sem and this year =( they have been really helpful right? everyone agrees yah? but they have to go to China next month to be the JUDGES for INTERNATIONAL WUSHU CHAMPIONSHIP! wah so li4 hai4...

so of course we took pictures with our beloved coaches, Guo laoshi and Cai laoshi =)

finally! sorry for disappearing so long hah... really very caught up these few weeks...

anyway we are now busy learning new things! exciting right?

yah the process is tiring... but we learnt new things! we strengthen and shape our bodies, improve our coordinations and stamina... isn't it worth all that?

and let's make the process fun as well ok... make it happily tiring! haha.

so how do you all think about the jie2 quan2 (section fist)? it is supposed to be steady, fast and low. we are doing that for ICN!

oh, talking about ICN. we have two events that are quite close to each other: Inter-cultural Nite aka. ICN on 18 Oct, and wushu IVP competition on 20 Oct. right now some seniors are practising intensively for the IVP, and we are doing the jie2 quan2! haha. let's see how zai it will look when performed by our KE7 wushu masters!

and soon we will start practising for ICN. right after u all back from your recess week. yes we need you all! we will as many people as possible and put up a good show!

so enjoy your recess week (despite all the assignments, essays, projects, CAs, blah blah blahhhhh), and get ready for your debut on KE7 stage!! =D

yeah!! this morning we just finished the performance we have been preparing for about two weeks. the West Coast CC performance near ginza plaza..

maybe i can upload the video to youtube. yes we got take video! thanks limian! =) but need to wait a bit. haha

we went together with DansDemonz but we were separate items. upon reaching the place we were like HUHHH??!! ... totally unprepared for the FOUR GIANT PILLARS in the MIDDLE OF THE STAGE!! but haaa, we managed to put up a nice show! =D no major cock-ups, and everyone was on time! hahaha

so after that we went for dessert together at the nearby hawker centre... had a great time! =D

ok. EVERYONE, THANKS FOR SIGNING UP FOR WUSHU DURING THE CCA OPENHOUSE! hope you all like the souvenirs we prepared for you. hehe

now the next step is to come for our FIRST session. muhahahaha

it will be on NEXT WEDNESDAY, 29 AUG, 8PM IN COMM HALL.

Our beloved LIU LAOSHI is going to leave Singapore... for good! =(

We have been trying to retain her... but she has her personal reasons. We respect her choice, just that... haiz, such a pity we cannot have her with us. She is simply a GREAT coach!

Seniors, I'm sure you all know Liu laoshi and you all like her. Juniors, we would like to introduce u to Liu laoshi, to let you see how pretty and nice she is and to show her how cute our freshies are. We are organizing a farewell dinner with her, hope you all can join us! We are thinking of making it 2nd September, a Sunday night. We are open to suggestions of eating place. phew... 1st performance of the Semester!

Just finished our first performance of the semester! =D

it was yesterday, in AS7 outside SR B, where the NUS Chinese Studies Society held their welcoming tea. Yenling brought her signature Taichi, Sharon Lynn has her Shao Nian Changquan, Jeremy showed his Nan Quan, and Ye Dan did sword. Hueyshin controlled the music. LOL

and it was great! everyone was so quiet and attentive during the performance... making us a bit nervous... lol. and the applause after each of us finish performing was so loud! haha... we enjoy the moment when we see people enjoy our performances =D

and the bee hoon was nice XD
